What does our name mean? Targa is an auto racing term for a type of rally race such as Canada’s Targa Newfoundland. The Italian word literally translates to plaque and was first used for Italy’s Targa Florio, where the winner received a gold plaque for winning the race. At Targa, we have a winning mentality and we wanted our name to reflect that.
